Happy August! We are mid-way through Summer, and it wouldn’t be right if I didn’t share another smoothie bowl. About a month ago, I shared my Tropical Green Smoothie Bowl (which is delicious, btw). I have seen many tropical, berry, acai, pitaya, chocolate, etc. smoothie bowls on the web, and while they are all amazing, I have been dying to create something a bit different. While brainstorming a couple weeks ago, the decision seemed clear, “Peaches!”, I thought.
Peaches have always been one of my favorite fruits. I just love their juicy, sweet flavor. Anything peach-flavored or peach-scented, I am generally a fan of. I have noticed that a lot of people don’t think to use peaches in smoothies, but trust me, they’re delicious! Add some bananas into the mix, and you’ve got the breakfast of the dreams…well, at least until October when everyone will want pumpkin and apple cinnamon everything….oh, how I am missing Fall right now (Enjoy the Summer while it lasts…Enjoy the Summer while it lasts….I keep telling myself).
I loved this smoothie bowl as soon as I tried it! It’s sweet, full of flavor, refreshing, and simple! I only used 3 ingredients, which is all that is really needed! I figure that it’s best to keep the smoothie itself pretty simple and then get creative with the toppings. My favorite toppings for this bowl in particular are banana, granola, chia seeds, coconut flakes, and buckwheat groats. You can top it off with anything you want!
I really think that you will like the sweetness and juiciness of this delicious and easy smoothie bowl. It’s a slightly different take (peachy smoothie bowls aren’t as common on Instagram and Pinterest), and has a delicious flavor that will help you cool down during these hot Summer months. Packed with antioxidants and fiber, it makes the perfect Summer breakfast that is best enjoyed in your backyard or patio if you are like me and live in a tiny (but charming) apartment!
