Remember a little over a month ago when I shared my Chocolate Cherry Green Smoothie?
Well, I made a comment on how I really wanted to make more chocolate cherry recipes because the flavor combo is unbeatable. Happily, I have already delivered! Sure, I did not exactly branch out…all I really did was transfer a smoothie to a bowl. However, this is a different recipe in a way. It is thicker and feels more like a meal. If you don’t feel like this is anything new, no worries, I have other chocolate cherry recipes in my brain. They would just take a bit more testing since one involves something I’ve never made anything like before (I think it’ll be worth the wait, though).
Don’t be underwhelmed: this chocolate cherry smoothie bowl is irresistibly sweet and satisfying. I am honestly a bit obsessed considering that I have it multiple times a week. We’re not even in “smoothie bowl season” in Washington, but I don’t care. I will eat this while wearing 5 blankets and a sweatshirt if I have to. Sooo worth it. I typically prefer smoothie bowls during the late-Spring/Summer, but this bowl does not really remind me of Summer. It’s not tropical or super fruity. If you want a smoothie bowl, but aren’t ready to go crazy with the fruit quite yet, I think my chocolate cherry smoothie bowl would satisfy your craving.
I love how surprisingly filling this bowl is. I’ve had it before school, and I stay full for 3-4 hours, which is saying something for a smoothie bowl. Packed with ingredients like bananas, spinach, oats, and cherries, this is definitely filled with lots of nutrients that can get you through your morning.
If you are obsessed with chocolate cherry anything like me, you are so welcome.
