While it’s Fall, I don’t necessarily always go for cold treats. There are times when I’m craving a sweet smoothie. If you can relate, this is the smoothie for you!
It tastes like dessert, and yet it’s still pretty healthy. Fall is a time where we indulge in sweet and fatty treats. I am a big supporter of this. Still, I try not to let go of my health completely during this time of the year. Treats like this Chocolate Walnut Brownie Smoothie help to satisfy my sweet tooth without leading to unwanted weight gain. I am still trying to lose weight, so healthier alternatives are super important to me. No worries, though: I will be sharing lots of sweet treats that are far less healthy in the next 3 months. I have some pretty sinful recipes in the works. Until then, I’ll at least try to eat healthy stuff before I start testing dessert recipes (I take lots of sacrifices for the blog, don’t I).
This smoothie is amazing. I tried to make it taste more like brownie batter by adding some vegan chocolate chips and some flour (I know some people might be concerned with consuming raw four, if you do, simply omit it. However, I have found that even raw fruits and vegetables have contamination risks. Unfortunately, food is rarely 100% safe).
There really are no special instructions with this smoothie. Just blend up the ingredients and pour it into a glass and well, you’re done. But I imagine the majority of you know how to make a smoothie by now, especially with how popular they have been for well…years.
If you’re just eagerly waiting for a pumpkin, apple, or cinnamon recipes, don’t you even worry. I’ll have all three coming to you in the next few weeks! Until then, let’s appreciate the fact that a chocolate smoothie will always taste amazing no matter what. I don’t care if it’s October, April, or July. I can never go wrong with a chocolate smoothie.
I really hope you enjoy this delicious and indulgent chocolate walnut brownie smoothie. It’s hard to mess up chocolate, so I really think you’ll like it.
If pumpkin spice isn’t your thing, I hope my Chocolate Walnut Brownie Smoothie is the answer to all your sweet cravings this month. I know that I’ve had it for breakfast a couple times in the last week…you gotta do what you gotta do when you’re a student. *Sigh.
