I’m bringing you all to my patio to show you my current makeup of the week, which is actually something that I wore a few weeks back to a wedding.
I sang at my aunt’s wedding, so I was dressed to match the bridal party (the colors were gray and blue).
I want to share this look because it is actually very appropriate for a Summer wedding. I feel that whether you are in a bridal party or a guest, the goal is to look nice, but not upstaging the bride. This look does just that: it incorporates soft colors, but with a glamorous twist: a but of glitter on the lower lash line. No thick wing, no dramatic contour, just soft color all over the face.
The technique is pretty simple. Definitely nothing special here. You don’t have to worry about doing anything too difficult with makeup. Usually, you can accomplish a full-face of makeup using basic techniques and only a few colors. You don’t have to be an MUA to do your makeup tastefully.
*sorry lighting is not the best, I’m still experimenting with my new camera and I am looking for the perfect background. I should have it figured out in the next couple weeks.
This was such a fun (and EASY) look to put together, and I received many compliments that day. If you are going to be a wedding guest or in a bridal party this Summer, and are unsure of how to do your makeup, I recommend something similar to this idea. You can always change up the colors as you like.
