I hope you all have some nice plans today, or plan on relaxing and doing nothing like me. That sounds pretty nice as well!
I have had a pretty busy week with schoolwork, the blog, and practicing for my aunt’s wedding. Fun fact about me: I used to sing.
I don’t anymore because it stopped making me happy, but I decided to go out of retirement for one day only so that I could sing at my aunt’s wedding because it means a lot to her. Learning songs has been really difficult since it has been awhile since I’ve rehearsed. I know how important it is for my aunt, so for that reason, I have been facing the challenges and am really looking forward to making her day even more special. I’ve learned this month that sometimes old hobbies and interests can come back into your life, and if the time is right, you embrace it.
Besides practicing, I have introduced another old love back into my life: Cookie Butter
Did you know: COOKIE BUTTER IS VEGAN. Well, almost every type of Cookie Butter. Seriously, if you live near a Trader Joe’s, go get some, or don’t. They’re super addicting, and are pretty much just sugar and oil.. probably not best to eat a whole jar of in one weekend, but yet, it happened. How am I losing weight?
Lastly, my interest this week (well, month) has been yoga. I remember in High School, I took a yoga class for a year for credit. I was definitely not very good at it, but I did find myself getting stronger, more flexible, and more balanced overall. Then I graduated and watched all of that disappear. For the last few months, I have been trying to make up for lost time and get back into it. I am really enjoying yoga for so many reason: I love how I feel during and after class. I love being able to stretch myself out. I love the feeling of challenging myself and improving every week. I would love to become a yoga instructor one day, I have felt very empowered lately.
This week has been a good one, and I am looking forward to my aunt’s wedding, getting a chance to spend time with friends, and getting one week closer to my final quarter of community college coming to an end (3 1/2 more weeks!).
I hope your Sunday goes well, and I wish you all the best week possible!
