It’s been awhile since I’ve shared a yoga update, and that’s mainly because of my fallout with yoga and health.
Now, I am back and feel stronger than ever with yoga! I wish I had never stopped practicing, but I am not going to worry about that. Instead, I will just focus on making the most of the time I make for myself. I am swearing to myself that I will stick to my practice because I am loving it so much, and I am really noticing some differences…..
- An increase in strength. Crow pose is finally more accessible for me. I don’t have the pose down 100%, but can usually hold it for a little bit.
2. An increase in flexibility, which became evident once I tried compass pose
I love yoga because I can explore the possibilities. My body is capable of so much more than I think.
Another thing I am learning to love is practicing inversions like headstand, forearm stand, and headstand by a wall. It makes me excited for the days where I will be able to get my feet off the wall and balance on my own. I have no idea when those days will come, but until then, I feel pretty content with my legs up the wall.
I’m working on a little bit of everything right now, I do plan on trying to find a few poses to focus on in all the main areas (standing poses, arm balances, inversions, etc.). Ultimately, I just want to practice and love every moment of it. I feel alive during yoga, and I want to enjoy every class. I am so lucky to have a place to practice daily, and I should take full advantage of it. Yoga is amazing, and I can’t wait to see where this year takes me. I am also really excited for nice weather so I can get better photos of my progress. Not that photos are even close to the best part of yoga, but I still like the small gallery I have.
I will try to share updates on my yoga practice every month or two, but only if there is anything new to say. I don’t want to just be like “yoga is amazing blah blah blah”. While that’s true, it’s not too interesting to read.
Until next time!
